Locally owned, Escape Ashland offers one-of-a kind escape games that have been well received by both tourists and locals since 2017. Owner, Kerri Franklin first discovered escape rooms in 2015 when searching for something to do with family in Brussels on a day museums were closed. Since that experience, escape games became her family's go-to activity whenever visiting a new town. The Franklin family felt that the experience brought them closer together and taught them something new about one another and their hope was to bring that same experience to Ashland. Hosting families--in particular multi-generational groups with grandparents and grandkids--has been their greatest joy.
Escape Ashland has been fortunate to have the support of talented carpenters, electrical wizards and Oregon Shakespeare Festival artisans in the construction of its escape games. In order to sustain the underlying narrative that also supports an immersive and consistent experience, the props and elements are carefully selected. The goal has been to create realistic and yet playful environments while upping their game in terms of the technological surprises as their players become more and more sophisticated.
Escape Ashland can accommodate larger groups by offering team competitions. Teachers and other chaperones find this an attractive complement to OSF trips as the interactive process with a single goal (and without the support of technology) that creates lasting bonds and memories. We also host company celebrations and have been proud to host work groups from Harry & David, Jackson County, Rogue Credit Union, Asante, La Clinica and more.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to Escape Ashland for your fundraising event--we love giving back to the community that has supported us along this journey. And please check out our blog for updated news and events.
